A small team that takes AI integration seriously.
We're not a big agency with a hundred clients. We work with a focused number of businesses and put real attention into each one.
Built by people who've worked on both sides of the AI hype.
ParenthLabs started because we kept seeing the same problem: companies buying AI tools that looked impressive in demos but didn't survive contact with real operations. The data was messier than expected. The workflows were more complex. The teams weren't trained. The tools got shelved.
We decided to do it differently. Every project we take on starts with genuine curiosity about how the business works — before we write a single line of code. We ask why a process exists before we try to automate it. We check whether AI is actually the right answer, and if it isn't, we'll say so.
The name comes from parentheses — the brackets in code that wrap something to give it context and meaning. That's what we try to do for businesses: give the AI around them context, so it actually works.
"Our goal isn't to sell you AI. It's to solve the problem you have."
Four things that shape how we work
Understand first, build second
We don't start writing code in week one. We spend time understanding what's actually going wrong before we decide what to build. Most AI problems are really process problems in disguise.
You own what we build
Every project comes with full source code, documentation, and a handover session. We're not trying to lock you into a monthly retainer forever. We want you to be able to maintain it yourself.
Scoped, not open-ended
Every project starts with a written scope. Not a vague estimate — a real document with deliverables, timeline, and cost. Surprises are for birthdays, not software projects.
Honest when it won't work
If AI isn't the right solution for your problem, we'll tell you. We've turned down projects that weren't a good fit. That's not bad business — it's how trust gets built.
Small by design, not by default
We keep the team tight so every client gets senior attention — not handoffs to junior staff.
What we do differently
Senior people on your project, not juniors
We don't have a tier of account managers between you and the people building your product. You talk directly to the engineer or AI lead doing the work.
Fixed scope, no billing surprises
You know what you're paying before we start. We agree on what's in scope and what isn't. Change requests are handled with a separate conversation, not hidden in the invoice.
Works in your actual tech stack
We don't ask you to adopt new tools you don't need. We integrate with what you already have — your CRM, your database, your workflow tools.
Handover that actually means something
When we finish a project, we walk your team through everything — the code, the architecture, the edge cases. You should be able to maintain it without us.
